AGUILA has been well received, locally and nationally, as a unique and innovative program with tremendous potential based upon our success in only three years – 70 Alumni enrolled in college, 63 current Seniors and 116 current Juniors.

Our students come to us with a strong desire to succeed, excellent academic and volunteer backgrounds, and have received community and academic recognition for their many achievements.

Year One – 2006 Seniors
  • 41 graduates from 27 valley High Schools - ALL in college
  • Accepted to ASU, NAU, U of A, New Mexico State University, Regis, St. Mary’s San Antonio, University of Notre Dame, Adams State College, Ohio State, Notre Dame de Namur, and Maricopa Community Colleges.
  • Collectively amassed $800,000+ over Federal Packages
  • Awards/Recognition: Presidential Scholarships; Various Private Scholarships; Honors at Entrance; Entry into ASU Barrett Honors, ASU School of Design, NMSU Professional Golf Management; Congressional Intern
  • Parents enrolling or returning to college.
Year Two – 2007 Seniors
  • 34 Seniors from 21 valley high schools
  • Accepted to ASU, NAU, U of A, New Mexico State University, Gonzaga, St. Mary’s San Antonio, University of Notre Dame, St. Mary’s/Indiana, Adams State College, Notre Dame de Namur, USC and Maricopa Community Colleges.
  • Collectively amassed $400,000+ over Federal Packages
  • Awards/Recognition: Congressional Art Award; Finalist for City Young Man of the Year; ASU Leadership Scholarship; Various Private Scholarships; Honors at Entrance; Sallie Mae Essay Award (MTV); Fiestas Queen
Year Three – 2008 Seniors
  • 63 Juniors from 28 valley schools including Yuma
  • Academically talented
  • Community-oriented
  • Culturally Hungry
  • Awards: National Honors Society; Finalist Young Woman of the Year; Community Service Awards
Class of 2009 and Beyond!
  • 116 Juniors applied for the 2009 incoming class to begin January, 2008.
  • Academically talented Latino/Latina Youth
  • Youth represent 32 high schools in the valley, Tucson and Coolidge
